The DOULA CO-OP of Nevada (DCNV) is a 501c3 statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to the support, education & advocacy for Doulas in Nevada who offer maternal health and end of life support services for individuals and families. Our mission is to build a skilled and diverse Doula presence to address systemic disparities affecting underserved communities in Nevada.

DCNV is honored to offer our community the opportunity to learn from international speaker and author, Amy Wright Glenn, on Holding Space with Compassionate Presence. Amy is the Founder & Director of the Institute for the Study of Birth, Breath & Death. Founded in 2015, the Institute was created to bring together individuals caring for birth and death with those dedicated to mindful, embodied, and compassionate living. It is an inspiring and nurturing organization/community dedicated to furthering the development and professional skill set of those called to hold space for birthing, living, and dying. Amy is the author of Birth, Breath, and Death: Meditations on Motherhood, Chaplaincy, and Life as a Doula and Holding Space: On Loving, Dying, and Letting Go.

During this 5-hour training, participants will engage in practical exercises to develop key 'holding space' skills, empowering them to courageously and compassionately show up for themselves and others in various aspects of life, including work, family, friendships, and community. There will be emphasis on skills to support grief and loss experiences for care providers.

There will be an hour break for lunch at 11:30 am. Snacks will be provided throughout the day, and you're welcome to go out for lunch or bring your own to enjoy in the auditorium.

If you experience technical issues with your payment, please be sure you are using a secure Wifi network. If the issue persists, you can contact Emily Barney at connect@doulacoop.org and we will support you.
